Leading Filipino tech brand Starmobile has officially launched its brand-new Windows 10 laptop, the ENGAGE Aura. It comes in a stunningly thin and beautiful silver metallic body, perfect for students and professionals on-the-go. “We are excited to expand our Windows-powered product line-up with the introduction of our all-new Starmobile ENGAGE Aura,” said Starmobile Product Development Head Michael Chen. “It offers a sleek and premium laptop experience that combines heavy-duty performance with a light and portable design.”

Perhaps the best factor of this laptop is its display. Despite having the same price tag of most 10″ notebooks in the market, or even cheaper, this one has a large 14-inch HD display. The display is a glossy TN panel with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and a 16:9 ratio like most budget notebooks currently in the market.The Starmobile Engage Aura runs on the Intel Atom x5-Z8350 processor running at 1.44GHz and a burst speed of up to 1.92GHz. It’s a power efficient chip sufficient for web browsing, office tasks and casual games. Its relatively big screen is definitely a selling point. Above it is a 2 Megapixel web cam for video conferencing.
Storage & Connectivity
In terms of storage, the Starmobile Engage Aura comes with a mere 32GB of built in storage and a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB memory cards but no hard disk or any disk drive. There’s a USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 port though where the user can connect additional storage. It has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for wireless connectivity. It also has a mini HDMI port for connecting the device to a TV or projector as well as a 3.5mm audio jack.
Battery Life
The notebook has a 9000mAh Li-ion battery that’s sealed inside its plastic body. With our standard video loop test wherein we play a 1080p video using the default video player under Airplane Mode with 50% brightness and volume through headphones, it was able to last for 7 hours and 9 minutes.

The Starmobile Engage Aura is a sleek and presentable laptop with its tapered body and two color options – silver and gold. It measures 20mm at its thickest and weighs 1.39 kg.
