Huawei Mate 20 Case Leaks, Show Large Cuts for Triple Camera and Fingerprint Scanner

The successor to the Huawei Mate 10 series will be launched this October 16 in London. According to recent rumors, the Mate 20 series will include the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, and the Mate 20 Porsche Design. And now, a month of its official release, cases of the Mate 20 surfaced online. The Huawei Mate 20 series will launch in exactly a month from today.

Huawei Mate 20 Case Leaks for Triple Camera

Ahead of the release, photos alleged to be that of the Mate 20’s protective cases have surfaced online. The cases sport a number of cut-outs for the phone’s cameras, ports, and fingerprint scanner. As you can see on the photo, there are numerous cuts are visible on the phone case. It is for triple cameras, fingerprint scanner, and the ports.

The camera placement on the Mate 20 is a bit different from that of the P20 Pro. Instead of vertically aligned triple cameras placed at the left corner of the handset, the cameras on the Mate 20 will be arranged at the center. Rather than a vertical and left corner arrangement, the cameras will be arranged in the middle to form a square with the LED flash and laser focus module.

These cases even have a cut-out for a fingerprint scanner which means the Mate 20 won’t have an in-display fingerprint sensor. There are cut-outs at the bottom too for the speaker, charging port, and audio jack. The volume rocker and power button are on the right which means the SIM tray is on the left.

Huawei Mate 20 Flagship Smartphone

Some of the images also show a mock-up of the phone’s display which sports a waterdrop notch and a slim lower bezel. The Mate 20 Pro, on the other hand, will have a much larger notch to house a plethora of sensors.

When the Mate 20 launches, alongside its siblings, they will be the first Huawei phones to come with the new 7nm Kirin 980 processor. The Mate range is the larger of Huawei's two flagship phone series, and rumors suggest the Mate 20 Pro could have a screen as large as 6.9 inches.

According to valid source, the Mate 20 will feature a 6.3-inch screen with a smaller notch than phones currently available on the market. It'll also purportedly have a large 4,200 mAh battery and three cameras on its back, perhaps similar to the P20 Pro. The Huawei Mate 20 series will officially be launched on October 16 at a special event in London.
