LG Confirms the Upcoming Launch of LG V40 ThinQ with Penta Cameras

LG Electronics the South Korean tech giant finally confirmed the launch of LG V40 ThinQ. The forthcoming flagship smartphone is expected to sport five cameras, three rear cameras and two front cameras just as we’ve seen previously in in the leaks. . LG has now released a 30 second video teaser of the upcoming flagship smartphone. The company will officially unveil the device on October 3.

The LG V40 ThinQ will sport penta camera (five cameras) which include triple rear camera setup and a dual front camera. The company claims that the smartphone will offer soft feel and it has used sandblast technology for the surface on the smartphone. Using this technology will prevent the glass body from any kind of scratches and fingerprint.

As the announcement goes, the smartphone sports larger than a 6.4-inch unit. It is also geared with a rear fingerprint scanner and it will be available in Carmine red, Morokan Blue and New Platinum gray variants. A rear-mounted fingerprint scanner can also be seen in LG’s teaser trailer that matches earlier leaks. Although LG doesn’t show the V40’s front, previous leaks, that have now proven to be accurate, revealed an edge-to-edge notched display.

It is also rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 845, Quad DAC and activated Google Assistant. It is also said to be coupled with 6GB RAM and comes with Android 8.0 Oreo as operating system. This specs shows the leaks are quite accurate and credible. To cut the speculations, let’s just wait for more specifications on October 3.

The company also added, “The matte color also adds to the charm that was not found in conventional tempered glass or metal. LG Electronics claims that users will be able to use the smartphone with one hand easily. It also comes equipped with a 2 ~ 3mm size illumination sensor and laser sensor beside the camera on the front and rear side of the product are not exposed to the outside, resulting in a clean and neat design.

The smartphone is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and a dedicated button to activate Google Assistant. The handset is said to come with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box. We’ll have to wait until the phone’s official launch on October 3 for official confirmation.
