OPPO R17 Pro now official in the Philippines, priced at PHP38,990

The OPPO R17 Pro is now official in the Philippines. OPPO Philippines finally unveiled the OPPO R17 Pro at a launch event held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City. The R17 Pro is one of the highly anticipated premium range smartphone from OPPO which features three rear cameras, two batteries, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The OPPO R17 Pro features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch design similar to that of the OPPO F9 smartphone, and has a gradient-colored glass back. The premium range smartphone has a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, and delivers a 91.5% screen-to-body ratio. The handset also features a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, which, according to OPPO is the first smartphone to have it. 

In the camera department, the OPPO R17 Pro is packed with Triple Rear Cameras, the first of its kind from the brand, as well as the whole BBK Electronics group. The camera setup is composed of dual-pixel 12MP sensor with variable f/1.5 to f/2.4 aperture, 20-megapixel lens with an f-stop of f/2.6, and 3D TOF depth camera.

Under the hood, the handset carries a Qualcoom Snapdragon 710 chip, which is based on 10nm FinFET process that has octa core 64-bit CPU and Adreno 616 graphics. The handset also has a 8GB RAM, 128GB ROM ,and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS version 5.2 on top.

The R17 Pro is the second device from the company to sports SuperVOOC flash charge technology, which can fill up the 3,700mAh battery with up to 40% charge in just 10 minutes. Security wise, it has In-Display fingerprint scanner as well as 3D Face Unlock.

The OPPO R17 Pro is priced at PHP38,990. The handset is now available for pre-order until November 23, with availability set on November 24, 2018. The handset will also come with PHP2,990 worth of freebies. You can also purchase the handset using your BDO credit card. They offer 0% interest up to 24-months installment.
