Redmi Y3 with 4000 mAh battery, Snapdragon 632 and 32MP front camera is now official

Xiaomi has just announced a new budget phone called the Redmi Y3 in India. It features a Snapdragon 632, dual rear cameras and a front facing 32MP camera.

The Redmi Y3 has a 6.26-inch HD+ Dot Drop display with a dewdrop notch with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and gradient back with P2i splash proof coating. Inside, the handset features a 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 octa-core processor and Adreno 506 GPU with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 512GB via microSD.

Camera wise, the Redmi 7 has dual 12MP + 2MP cameras at the back. The primary camera has a 1.25um pixel size. One of the key features of the phone is the 32MP selfie shooter. It comes with auto HDR, a wide field of view, and 1.6um large pixels.

The Redmi Y3 has a large 4,000mAh battery that is charged via micro USB with 10W charging support. It also contains a 3.5mm headphone jack, a fingerprint scanner. It is running on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. There are three color options: elegant blue, prime black, and bold red.

The 3GB/32GB model starts at INR 9,999 or around PHP 7.5K while the 4GB/64GB model will cost you INR 11,999 or around PHP 9K. It is now available in India. No word yet if it will come to the Philippines.
