Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 set to launch in the Philippines on July 1!

Huawei Mobile Philippines has just sent out press invitations for the local launch of its first smartphone with a pop-up camera system, the Y9 Prime 2019.

The event will be held July 1, which is a week from today. The email invite reads, “A smartphone packed with a new set of camera tech and refreshing design is finally making its way to the Philippines,” and also uses the hashtag #HuaweiY9PopsUp. The upper section of the phone with its selfie camera out is also featured in the invite.

Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 features a gradient back design with a 6.59-inch large display with FHD+ resolution and no notch. Since it doesn't have a notch, it uses a motorized pop-up camera system to house a 16MP f/2.2 selfie camera.

Under the hood, the device comes with a 2.2GHz 64-bit Kirin 710F chipset, 4G RAM, 128GB expandable storage, and a large 4,000mAh battery. At the back, it also comes with 3 cameras. It uses a versatile 16MP f/1.8 + 8MP f/2.4 120-degree ultra wide-angle lens + 2MP f/2.4 triple-camera system.

The Y9 Prime 2019 is set to launch on July 1, in the Philippines. Stay tuned for the local pricing and availability.
