Huawei launches Y9 Prime 2019 in the Philippines, priced at PHP 12,990

Huawei’s first smartphone with a pop-up selfie camera, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 has officially launched in the Philippines. Huawei also announced the price of the smartphone which sport a real all-screen display, which is made possible by its pop-up camera.

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 features a premium polycarbonate and glasstic design that makes it on par in terms of looks to higher priced phones. The device comes with a 6.59-inch IPS screen with FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution.

Under the hood, the handset is powered by Kirin 710F octa-core processor, Mali-G51 MP4 graphics with GPU Turbo, 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage, which is expandable up to 400GB via microSD card.

Camera wise, the Y9 Prime 2019 is banked with a triple-rear camera setup composed of a 16-megapixel f/1.8 main shooter, 8-megapixel f/2.4 120-degree ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor. For selfies, it is mounted with a 16-megapixel f/2.2 snapper with a pop-up mechanism.

The device is equipped with a large 4000mAh battery that charges via USB Type-C and Huawei's 10W charger. It is running on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0 on top and it comes in black, blue and purple.

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is priced at PHP 12,990 and is available for purchase in Huawei stores nationwide. The device will be up for pre-order starting July 5. Those who will pre-order the phone will also score a free Bluetooth speaker worth Php1,790.
