Apple iPhone SE 2020 now official

Apple announces the new iPhone SE 2020. The iOS device looks just like the iPhone 8 rather than the original iPhone SE but with a new processor and camera.

The new iPhone SE features an iPhone 8-style body with IP67 water resistance up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes and a 4.7-inch Retina HD display that supports HDR10. It also has the Touch ID fingerprint reader with sapphire crystal for enhanced durability.

Inside, the device is powered by the 7nm Apple A13 Bionic chip with an Apple customized quad-core GPU and Neural Engine. It comes in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage. The device also has an improved battery life, fast-charging support with 50 percent charge in 30 mins, and Qi wireless support.

Camera wise, it has a 12MP f/1.8 at the back that takes advantage of the A13 Bionic Neural Engine and image signal processor. It has Smart HDR, machine-learning depth estimation, and up to 4K 60fps or 30fps with extended dynamic range videos. For selfies, you'll get a 7MP snapper.

The iPhone SE 2020 has a suggested retail price in the Philippines of PHP 26,490 for the 64GB, PHP 30,490 for the 128GB and PHP 36,490 for the 256GB. The price for the iPhone SE 2020 starts at USD 399 in the United States.

The date of release in the Philippines is yet to be announced.
