POCO F2 Pro, the much awaited flagship killer smartphone is coming to the Philippines. On its Facebook post, Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO, will be launching the POCO F2 Pro via a live stream event on June 15, 2020.
The POCO F2 Pro is a 5G-ready flagship smartphone with upper-mid-range pricing. It sports a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, HDR10+ support, and topped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The screen has no notch of any kind as the phone has a motorized pop-up camera for taking selfies.
Under the hood, it is powered by the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 7nm+ chipset that has 2.84GHz octa-core Kryo 585 CPU and Adreno 650 graphics. It also comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage. POCO added the LiquidCool Technology 2.0 to dissipate heat better than most phones in the market.
Camera-wise, the device sports a powerful quad-camera setup consistingof 64MP f/1.9 main module, a 13MP f/2.4 ultrawide lens, 5MP f/2.2 telephoto macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. It also has the capability to shoot up to 8K at 30fps videos and 1080p videos at 960fps. Meanwhile, the pop-up camera comes with 20MP resolution and f/2.2 aperture.
The POCO F2 Pro is equipped with a large 4,700mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 4+ with 30W fast charging capability. As advertised, the battery can be refueled from 0 to 100% in just 63 minutes. The other notable specs are under-display optical fingerprint sensor, Hi-Res audio, and WiFi 6 connectivity, NFC, and IR Blaster.
There's no word about the official local pricing of the phone yet, but we expect it to be near the EUR 499 or around PHP 27K starting price tag in Europe.
