Samsung Philippines added two new smartphones to its budget range this year. The local outfit has quietly announced the Samsung Galaxy J6+ and Galaxy J4+ for the Philippine market. Samsung Galaxy J6+ and the Galaxy J4+ both feature 6-inch displays, Snapdragon 425 processors, and dual cameras.
Both arrive with affordable price tags and feature the company’s signature smartphone aesthetic, with taller screens to go with their glossy back covers. They also feature facial recognition via their front-facing cameras for easy unlocking, while the Samsung Galaxy J6+ has a fingerprint reader built into the frame.
Coming in with pocket-friendly prices, the handsets have similar internal specifications, that familiar design, and glossy backs. Both boast Face Recognition, a feature usually reserved for more expensive devices; with the Galaxy J6+ adding a fingerprint sensor on the side of its frame. The Samsung Galaxy J6+ sports a dual 13MP + 5MP rear camera with the secondary sensor working to provide depth information. In front, it has an 8MP sensor for selfies.
The Galaxy J4+, on the other hand, comes with a single 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. Looking at their internal specs, the phones come with 6-inch HD+ IPS displays, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processors, and 3,300 mAh batteries. The Galaxy J6+ has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the Galaxy J4+ has 2GB RAM with 16GB storage. Both devices run on Samsung Experience OS on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Samsung Galaxy J6+ and the Galaxy J4+ will be available in the Philippines beginning October 13, 2018 with a suggested retail price of PHP 10,990 and PHP 6,990, respectively.
