Samsung officially launched the Galaxy A9 Pro(2019) in South Korea. It is the global version of the A8S that was announced last month in China. The Galaxy A9 Pro features Infinity-O display which replaces the typical screen notch with a circular camera cutout.
Samsung never gave in to the peer pressure of the notched design and late last year, the Korean giant announced their own solution, the Infinity-O display along with the Galaxy A8S in China last December of 2018. Aside from the display department, the Galaxy A9 Pro also has generally the same spec sheet as the Galaxy A8s.
The Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) is the company’s first smartphone to sports the Infinity-O display or an in-screen camera. The mid-range device sprots a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ 2340 x 1080 pixels, and 19.5:9 screen aspect ratio. It also comes with a color gradient design, which is available in Blue, Gray, and Green.
Under the hood, the handset carries a Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor paired with 6GB RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage that is expandable up to 512GB. Powering up the device, on the other hand, is a 3400mAh battery that supports fast charging.
In the camera department, Samsung armed it with triple-rear setup composed of 24-megapixel f/1.7 main shooter, 10-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto lens, and 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth sensor. For selfies, the handset is mounted with a 24-megapixel f/2.0 in-screen selfie snapper.
The triple rear camera set-up is made up of a 24MP standard lens camera, a 10MP 2x optical zoom telephoto lens camera and a 5MP depth sensor for the live focus mode. The Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) will be available in Korea starting February 28, 2019, and will be priced at KRW 599,500 (~Php28K).
