PUBG LITE PC minimum system requirements released: Everything you need to know

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds appears to be testing a new free-to-play game called PUBG Lite. PUBG is making it easier for users who want to play the game on their low-end PCs or laptops. The company has introduced a PUBG Lite version which is currently beta phase right now and available to limited to regions.


What is PUBG Lite?
PUBG Lite is a new free version of the popular battle royale game for low-end hardware. PUBG Lite has its own exclusive content, maps and other features. At the moment, PUBG Lite’s beta comes with Erangel map and you can play the game in Solo, Duo and Squad options.

Can your PC run PUBG Lite?
The good news is that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds new free-to-play PUBG Lite should work fine on low-end PCs or laptops. What kind of CPU and graphics card do you need? Or how many gigs of RAM should your PC have to run the game smoothly? In this article, you’ll find the minimum PUBG Lite system requirements and recommended system specs.

The game aims to offer the PUBG experience on less powerful hardware which is free to play for all users. The paid and full version of PUBG has surprisingly humble PC system requirements, but you still cannot play it on low-end hardware.


But for those who have a low end PC will now get a chance to experience a PUBG PC experience with PUBG Lite. The game is different from PUBG Mobile Lite, PUBG Mobile, and PUBG as this one will be exclusive for PC and it will have a toned-down graphics but the experience will be similar to PUBG PC.

The Lite version makes the PUBG game compatible with PCs and laptops that are running older Windows version and come with lower-end processors and graphics. PUBG LITE will be free to play and it won’t be taxing to PC so everbody can play and enjoy this game. Here are the minimum and recommended system requirements of PUBG LITe PC.

  • Intel Core i3 processor with up to 2.4GHz clock speed.
  • 4GB of RAM
  • Intel HD Graphics 4000
  • Consistent internet connection.
  • 4GB of available space.

PUBG Lite recommended system requirements
  • Windows 10, 8.1 and 7 64-bit.
  • Intel Core i5 processor with up to 2.8GHz.
  • 8GB of RAM.
  • Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870.
  • 4GB of storage.

“Our goal for PUBG LITE is simple: Deliver the PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS experience to players in areas where the core game’s required specifications are more difficult to achieve due to the hardware available. To this end, the PUBG LITE team has focused on balancing lower hardware requirements, without compromising on our quality standards,” said PUBG on its website.

The company says that PUBG Lite is a completely different game from the paid PUBG and there is a dedicated team of developers working on the new free-to-play game. PUBG Lite is built from the ground up for less powerful computers and it has its own exclusive content and maps that will differentiate it from the paid game.

Even though a stripped down version, PUBG Lite comes with almost all the important features of the main version. It features the popular Erangel map. The game also supports Solo/Duo/Squad in TPP mode in PUBG LITE. The PC should run on 64-bit version of Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. Minimum CPU required is core i3 2.4GHz with 4GB of RAM and Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 4GB HDD.

Recommended specifications include 64-bit version of Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. Users should have core i5 2.8GHz, 8GB of RAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 or AMD Raedon HD 7870 and 4GB HDDD.

Since the game can run under Intel HD Graphics 4000, I’m pretty sure that a lot of shared graphics even on notebooks 2 years ago can run this game. But of course, all we can do right now is to wait for PUBG Lite to arrive here in the Philippines
